Assignment:
To create a folder showcasing the different aspects of the Fiat 500 car. The folder had to be completely handmade and drawn with marker pens.

Creative solution:
I wanted to recreate the way people experience cars for the first time, slowly discovering new things. This was achieved by designing the folder as opening a present. The frontpage only showed the back of the car. As you open the first page it reveals the whole car. And as you flip the last page, the car is revealed to the reader in multiple colors.

This way a simple folder became a tiny experience of a new car in itself.

Daft Tron

Inspired by Daft Punk's soundtrack for the movie TRON: Legacy this picture emerged as an homage to the electronic duo and their music.

Looking at an original photo of the duo I first drew the picture by using standard kids crayons. Afterwards I scanned the drawing to Photoshop to bring up the sharpness and contrast and finally apply the lighting effect. The original drawing measured merely 10 x 15 centimeters, but due to the quality of the scan I was able to blow it up to an A3 without loosing detail.
