Natværk 2011

A poster designed to promote the ‘Natværk’ party of 2011. The poster was used both as printed advertisement and online at the official Facebook invitation to the party. More than 650 people answered to the invite as attending within the first 12 hours of the invite and poster being released.

Natværk’(Losely translated ‘Nightwork’) is a huge party organized by the people behind ‘Operation Dagsværk’ or OD (Operation Daywork). OD is an initiative to get young high school students to spend one day working and donating the day’s worth of pay to OD.
OD then uses this money to support causes in development countries. The ‘Natværk’ party has the same purpose. All artists play for free and volunteers organize everything surrounding the party. The surplus from the earnings then goes to support the OD’s causes along with the money collected on the OD day.

It's a combination of crayon drawing and post-editing in photoshop and indesign.
It is inspired by a graffiti piece from my childhood hometown that said the same words as hidden in the circle: "You only see crime city".
